History

1971 - The Department of Chemical Engineering of the two-year junior college division was established.
1972 - The five-year junior college division was added.
1989 - The two-year junior college evening division was added.

1997 - The two-year undergraduate program was added.

1997 - The two-year undergraduate program weekend division was added.

1997 - The five-year junior college division stopped recruitment.

1998 - The two-year junior college evening division stopped recruitment.

1998 - Department of Chemical Engineering Technology was renamed as Department of Chemical Engineering.

1999 - The two-year junior college division stopped recruitment.

2000 - The four-year undergraduate division was added.

2001 - The graduate school was added. 

2002 - The two-year undergraduate program weekend division stopped recruitment.

2005 - Permitted to rename this department as the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering.

2007- The Certification of Engineering and Technology Education accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan
