Prospects

●Four major research areas which are related to the technological development in Taiwan are emphasized in our department :

(1) Functional polymers (such as polymer nanocomposite, conductive polymer,  flame retardant polymer composite, biodegradable polymer, biopolymer, and liquid crystal polymer)

(2) Biochemical and biomedical engineering (such as synthesis of biochemical medicine, tissue engineering and biomaterial)

(3) Electronic material (such as semi-conductor material, optoelectronic material)

(4) Green technology (such as new energy resources, green chemistry, fuel cell)
