The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering
The Department of Chemical Engineering was founded in 1971, offering a two-year junior college program. The department was upgraded to offer Bachelor of Science degree programs in 1997. Four years later, Master's degree program was established. Starting from 2005, the department has been known as the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. There are 16 faculty members in the department, offering graduate and undergraduate programs with research in materials, including polymer, semi-conductor, optoelectronic and nanocomposite. The department has well-equipped laboratories for advanced study and education. In the future, the department will continue growing by installing more analytical equipment and continuing to recruit experienced faculty members.
