a. Objectives

The department keeps abreast of the industrial and social development of Taiwan, imparting to students the professional skills of the chemical industry and material technology, as well as knowledge applicable to work with chemical industrial materials. In addition, we engage in innovative research on specific topics to develop each student's research ability.


b. Curriculum

1. Core courses needed to enhance students' research ability.
2. Offer courses to help students develop broader views and adjust to the variety of future manufacturing industry. 


 
==Undergraduate Division==

a. Objectives

Keeping abreast of the industrial and social development of Taiwan, we impart to students the practical skills of the chemical industry and material technology, and experience with chemical industrial materials to prepare them for employment in the chemical industry, material industry, and other related fields. We adhere to the essence of technological education by emphasizing the integration of theory and practical operations and also equip the future professional technicians with professional morality, industrial safety, and ecologically responsible knowledge.

b. Curriculum

The following three curricula focus on educating students as technicians with independent thinking and practical competence:

1. Core courses stress unit operation, transport phenomenon, thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, organic chemistry and material science and technology.

2. Elective courses are grouped into several distinct fields to meet the societal needs and enable students to explore into individual fields.

3. Experimental and special research projects enhance students' independent thinking and research ability.
